Dr. Raymond A DellaPorta Sr. completed his undergraduate studies at Hofstra University, Hempstead N.Y. with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology. He graduated and received his D.M.D. in 1968 from Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry in Teaneck, N.J. as Class President. Following graduation he promptly enlisted in the United States Navy and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Dental Corps. He went on to serve as a Dental Officer with the U.S. Marines at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California where his oldest son, Dr. Raymond A. DellaPorta II, was born. He subsequently moved to South Florida and took up residency in Delray Beach, Florida, where he practiced General and Reconstructive Dentistry. In 1983, Dr. Della A. Porta Sr., his wife Peggy (of 38 years) and their three sons relocated to Vero Beach where he presently maintains a practice with his son, Dr. Raymond DellaPorta, II. He is a past Director of the American Endodontic Society and past President of the Academy 100 at University of Florida College of Dentistry. Presently, Dr. DellaPorta maintains a General Dental Practice with an emphasis on cosmetic, reconstructive, and implant dentistry. Both he and his son are known locally as "Doctors' Dentists". His dental affiliations include lifetime membership with the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, a Master in the American Endodontic Society, a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, an active member of the Tri County Dental Society, in addition to being an active staff member at the Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach for over 22 years. Dr. DellaPorta has completed extensive continuing education courses in all phases of reconstructive, periodontal, endodondic, implantology, surgical and esthetic dentistry, throughout his successful career. Aside from 40 years of dental experience his other cherished passions are his family, his patients, and flying his Cessna 340A. |
Dr. Raymond A DellaPorta II (shown in photo above) completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University. A 1994 graduate of the College of Dentistry at University of Florida, he is consistently updating his studies in advanced General Dentistry. These areas include Cosmetic, Reconstructive, and Implant Dentistry, as well as all phases of General Dentistry. His continuing education endeavors include:
